As part of their efforts to expand international and regional partnerships, the Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) and Al Shorouk Academy in Cairo discussed prospects for academic and applied collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence, content creation, professional training, and the development of future skills for students and faculty members.
The discussions took place during a visit by Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, CEO of the Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF), to Al Shorouk Academy, where he met with the Academy’s senior leadership, including Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of Al Shorouk Academy, and Dr. Mohamed Shoman, Vice Chairman and Director of the International Relations Office.
The two sides explored opportunities to establish joint cooperation in specialized training and capacity-building in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, exchange academic and professional expertise, and develop applied programs and projects designed to prepare highly qualified professionals capable of responding to the rapid transformations shaping the labor market and the digital economy.
The discussions also addressed ways to benefit from AIJRF’s expertise in artificial intelligence, research and future forecasting, intelligent content creation and management, as well as the development of innovative applications and models for integrating advanced technologies across a range of sectors, particularly media, education, healthcare, communication, and smart government services.
Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to cooperate with Al Shorouk Academy, praising the Academy’s academic expertise and programs in media, computer science, and AI-related disciplines.
He emphasized that AIJRF is looking forward to developing an applied partnership with Al Shorouk Academy that contributes to strengthening the capabilities of students and academics in artificial intelligence, content creation, and advanced technologies, while benefiting from modern models and best practices in education, training, and scientific research.
Dr. Abdulzaher added that AIJRF currently manages more than 27 global and regional initiatives focused on integrating artificial intelligence across multiple sectors, in addition to offering more than 120 specialized professional and training programs.
Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim stressed that Al Shorouk Academy places significant importance on expanding its network of relationships and partnerships with international academic, research, and professional institutions, particularly in the fields of scientific research, professional training, and advanced technologies.
He explained that the Academy’s strategy aims to strengthen engagement with global experiences and expertise and to develop cooperation frameworks that include the exchange of knowledge, faculty members, and students, alongside building partnerships that directly contribute to advancing the educational process and aligning it with future needs.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Shoman emphasized that the accelerating pace of technological development requires educational institutions to continuously update their academic programs, curricula, teaching methods, and training approaches.
He noted that artificial intelligence has become one of the key drivers of transformation in education and the global labor market.
Dr. Shoman added that Al Shorouk Academy seeks to benefit from specialized international expertise in this field and employ it to enhance the quality of education, strengthen the skills of students and graduates, and enable them to respond effectively to the requirements of future jobs and emerging sectors.
He further stressed that the Academy welcomes cooperation with specialized Arab and international institutions and aims to establish sustainable strategic partnerships that support innovation, knowledge exchange, and the adoption of the latest educational and technological systems and applications.
AIJRF’s programs cover a wide range of artificial intelligence applications across various sectors, including media and content creation, education, government communication and smart government services, financial services, marketing, future cities, and sustainable development.
The Foundation also focuses on developing professional capabilities related to the creation and management of different forms of content using intelligent and advanced technologies.
At the conclusion of the visit, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields. Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim and Dr. Mohamed Shoman presented the Al Shorouk Academy Shield to Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, while the AIJRF CEO presented the AIJRF Shield to both Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim and Dr. Mohamed Shoman in recognition of their efforts and support for expanding future areas of cooperation.
