H.E Professor Saeed Al Dhaheri, Director of Center for Futures Studies, Appointed to AIJRF Advisory Board

Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF), the UAE-based leading global institution in media studies and artificial intelligence has announced the appointment of H.E Professor Saeed Al Dhaheri, the director of Center for Futures Studies at The University of Dubai, and the president of Robotics and Automation Society in UAE, to the AIJRF Advisory Board.

Journalism and media are disrupted by Generative AI and we need to be better prepared to thrive in this disruption by building and acquiring the required mindset, skillset, and toolset. I look forward to working with the respected advisor members to excel in this mission and build a responsible future for the use of AI in media and journalism.” Professor Al Dhaheri said.

It should be noted that Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri is a futurist, thought leader, author and a public keynote speaker. He is a veteran of the UAE technology industry with over 30 years of experience in driving technology adoption in various public sector organizations. He has been into many positions: the founder and former Director General of the Emirates ID Authority, a former member of the scientific advisory committee of the UAE Space Agency, and a former Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on information technology.

Currently, Saeed Al Dhaheri is the director of the Center for Futures Studies at the University of Dubai, and President of the Robotics & Automation Society (RAS) in the UAE. He is also a visiting lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at Oxford University, and a member of the global future council on the Metaverse of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and a board member of the Emirates Safer Internet Society (eSafe). He has worked for several years as a lead assessor of the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP). He is on the industry advisory board of the College of Information Technology (CIT) of the UAE university.
