Dubai Grants 10-Years Cultural Visa to AIJRF CEO as “Creative Talent”

The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has granted Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, the Artificial Intelligence Journalism pioneer and CEO of  Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF), a cultural visa (10-years Golden Residence Visa), which is the first long-term cultural visa in the world. 

Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher has been received the Cultural Visa in the category of “Creative Talents”  as an “Author and Academic Lecturer”, for his pioneering publications and content  in the field of media and artificial intelligence in both Arabic and English.

First Cultural Visa

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the first long-term cultural visa in the world in 2019 to position Dubai as a global centre for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.

 Establishing Dubai as a hub for outstanding Arab and international creative talent is part of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s endeavour to develop the cultural economy and creative industries; attract, retain and empower talent; and give them opportunities to prosper and participate in the UAE’s development. It is also aligned with the goals and pillars of the 2020-2025 Dubai Culture Strategy.

About Dr. Abdulzaher

Academic, author, and pioneer of Artificial Intelligence Journalism. Assistant Professor in Digital Public Relations and Artificial Intelligence Journalism, he holds a  Ph.D. in Mobile Applications Development and AI in Government Services  in UAE.

Dr. Abdulzaher his body of work spans over 80 papers and reports (English and Arabic) in media studies and AI journalism, and 12 books on media and AI.

He is the co-founder of Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) UAE-based think tank, and founder and board of directors member of Artificial Intelligence Journalism World Forum (AIJWF).

Dr. Abdulzaher has 20 years of professional experience in both online and print media formats under his belt; his craft has taken him to numerous countries and regions as a mass communication practitioner. Since he is fluent in both Arabic and English, his bilingual skills have made him an asset to several high-profile communication organizations. He has been a news editor, journalist, and media trainer for the British Broadcasting Corporation World Service (BBC) in the UK, the United Nations (UN), the Financial Times Group, and Thomson Reuters.

He has created many new concepts in media such as : “Artificial Intelligence Journalism, 7G Journalism, Robotization of Marketing ,Covidization of Media Industry, Intelligence-Integrated Public Relations , Abdulzaher Artificial intelligence Journalism Model of Communication and Dynamic Human Skills (DHS).
