Dubai- Artificial Intelligence Journalism
Artificial Intelligence Journalism World Forum (AIJWF) will be launched tomorrow in Dubai, in its first session, organized by the Dubai based Foundation of Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF), under the patronage of HH. Sheikh Dr. Saeed Bin Tahnoun Bin Mohammed AL Nahyan, and under the Honorary Presidency of the great Egyptian Scholar Prof. Farouk El-Baz.
The forum will be held this year under the theme of “the globally leading platform for designing the future of media and people 2050”, with the participation of more than 40 speakers specialized in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The forum is chaired by Prof. Mohammed Showman, Dean of the Faculty of Information at the British University and a member of the Foundation’s Advisory Board, and Prof. Mohamed Abdulzaher, a pioneer in Artificial Intelligence Journalism.
During its seven discussion sessions, the forum will review several topics: the 7th generation journalism and the future of the media industry 2050, Arab experiences in artificial intelligence journalism, global experiences in artificial intelligence journalism and results of the global index of artificial intelligence journalism. As well as the ethics guide for artificial intelligence journalism, smart and sustainable cities and infrastructure in the smart media, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Moreover, the Foundation of Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) also offers a special session on its activities and the future of artificial intelligence journalism.
The forum events will be concluded with the closing ceremony attended by a large number of Emirati and Arab public figures, led by HH. Sheikh Dr. Saeed Bin Tahnoun AL Nahyan, and HH. Sheikha Dr. Hind Al Qasimi, Guest of Honor. The ceremony will also witness honoring the winners of the Artificial Intelligence Journalism Award, the first-ever prize of its kind worldwide, which includes 6 categories: Person of the Year, Best Innovation Award, Best Scientific Research Award, Best Media Organization Award, Best Work of Journalism Award, and finally the Best Student Project Award.
The forum, which lasts for two days, is attended by more than 2000 participants including researchers, academics, journalists and owners of technology business around the world. The Forum sessions combine physical and online attendance, taking into account safety measures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
