Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) has announced the launch of the AI and the Media and Academic Content Creation challenge (AIMAC), in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity (MOSS), as the “Strategic Partner”. The AIMAC challenge is the first challenge in Egypt that brings together government communication specialists, researchers and academics in utilizing Ai tools and apps in creating content of different kinds of media, government and academic content, in an intensive 4-days training program, in February 2025.
AI Content Creation Competition
The AIMAC challenge is a competition in two different levels:
There are two levels of participants: the first is the government content creators, and the second level is the academic researchers, who will create final projects that utilize AI, and present them to two external juries, to compete for awards.
” The AIMAC challenge is part of a series of challenges launched by AIJRF in a variety of Arab countries to improve skills in integrating artificial intelligence technologies and tools into daily work environments”, Said Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, AIJRF CEO.
Dr. Abdulzaher added that: “This challenge aims to enhance the abilities of individuals to create content at different levels and formats, specifically in developing news stories and publishing interactive media and government content, as well as integrate artificial intelligence into academic research management in a manner more professional and productive”.
As a strategic partner of the AIJRF, Dr. Abdulzaher expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social Solidarity and H.E Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of MOSS, for her support of the AIMAC challenge program. As also for Dr. and also Dr. Mohammed El Okby, Assistant Minister of MOSS for Strategic Communication and Media in implementing the challenge.
Two Different Levels:
First: Government Communication Specialists (to train on more than 20 AI applications for generating government media content, managing government platforms, and tracking fake content).
The second group will be researchers and academics (to be trained on 15 AI applications that are designed to manage, write, and review specialized academic content.
AIMAC Challenge Goals
• Improving the ability to generate government media content with artificial intelligence tools and solutions.
• Aiming to enhance the skills of researchers in the field of academic research and report writing using artificial intelligence.
• Creating high-quality media and research projects based entirely on artificial intelligence.
• Competition between different work teams on the academic and government media levels, utilizing AI tools.Applied Training:
- Over the course of four days (6 hours per day), participants will be trained in two different levels to create a project (media or research) that will be entered into a competition using apps and tools that utilize AI.
- The submitted projects are presented to external jury, at the end of the challenge.
- Certified certificates are given to each participant in the challenge, and an additional special certificate for the two awarded teams.
- Personal interviews will be conducted to accept the candidates after registration.
