The 2nd Artificial Intelligence Journalism World Forum (AIJWF) has been launched today at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) Dubai, chaired by H.E Professor Abdullatif Al Shamsi President & CEO of Higher Colleges of Technology, AIJWF Honorary President, titled : “Media of Metaverse and Covidization of Media Industry: How the Pandemic has Changed the World of Media and Entertainment Industry “.
The opening session was represented by UNESCO, with the participation of Professor Guy Berger, the Director for Strategy and Policy, Communication and Information Sector, UNESCO.
Also, HE Shihab Ahmad Alhammadi , the Director of the Sharjah Media City Free Zone Authority (Shams), Professor Mohammed Shouman. of the British University in Egypt, Ms. Ouided Bouchamaoui, Tunisian Business Woman and winner of Nobel Peace Prize in 2015, Professor Mohamed Abdulzaher, the CEO of AIJRF. the Opening session has been moderated by Ms. Naoufer Ramoul, Dubai Media Incorporated .
UAE an Incubator for Innovation
Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher expressed his great thanks to the UAE, saying that : “ UAE IS a country that always emphasizes its great support of innovation and creative ideas, with the vision of its leaders, it was able to jambe for years into the future, as it provided a healthy innovative environment based on equal opportunities, ensuring incentives for innovation, nurturing ideas, preserving the property and intellectual rights of creators.
Dr. Abdulzaher thanked UNESCO for its participation in the forum, and for its great role in supporting initiatives related to artificial intelligence, and ensuring the existence of regulating ethics.
He added that: “Every year in the AIJWF we are keen on research, foresight, and innovation in all human fields, we bring together academics, media professionals, AI development companies, educational institutions, and government entities to forecast the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions technologies and its impact on the future of human.”
HYPER-HYBRID Campus
H.E Professor Abdullatif Al Shamsi President & CEO of Higher Colleges of Technology, AIJWF Honorary President, has presented on the opening session his new education concept about the HYPER-HYBRID Campus and the idea of re-designing buildings for universities and educational institutions for the future.
Professor Al Shamsi said: “Universities need to keep pace with the major technological changes to remain within the competition, as an educational service provider and a magnet for students by enhancing their attractions, especially after their success in continuing their studies remotely during the “Covid-19” pandemic.”
He added that: “Campus of tomorrow should include: virtual classrooms, innovation & incubator spaces, open lab & learning spaces, social & networking environment and simulated workplaces.”
Professor Abdullatif Al Shamsi said: “The HYPER-HYBRID campus of tomorrow will look like A ‘Mall-like’ campus that offers a unique learning experience befitting the aspirations of Gen-Z hyper-connected youth., where the campus outcomes will include:
1- Persona 4.0 , which means
Digital, Professional and Entrepreneurial
2- Personalized Learning : and Big Data Artificial Intelligence (AI).
3- Professional Learner, which is referring to the Long Life Learning.
“HYPER-HYBRID campus is an opportunity of seeing the “Best of Both Worlds, where is On-Campus will include: hands-On learning and, practical skills development, innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship, and social life and entertainment” Professor Al Shamsi added.

Ms. Ouided Bouchamaoui, Tunisian Business Woman and winner of Nobel Peace Prize in 2015, and member of the Advisory Board of AIJRF, pointed out the importance of Arab countries providing a clear future map on the nature of current human skills, and how to maintain their development, burden them with different skills, and support the principle of Long Life Learning.
She said: “This year’s the AIJWF deals with one of the most important issues, which is the development of our human skills in line with the great technological changes and the requirements of the global market during the next decade. Everyone is looking About “future skills” or what Dr. Abdulzaher called “The Dynamic Human Skills”.
Bouchamaoui added: “Through my participation in the Advisory Board of the AIJRF, we try every year to research, anticipate and think about the future of many sectors in light of the tremendous developments in the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the great leaps the world is witnessing in the volume of investments in advanced technology. .”
